“The resort location and food is what make this place other than that we were not fans. The service was terrible. Maids often did not clean our rooms and we had to call to get more toilet paper and clean towels. The drinks were weak and full of syrup instead of natural flavoring (like lime juice). The rooms are all in desperate need of upgrade as well. They were clean but needed serious repair. There were actual holes in bottom of the door frames with water leaking out of the. The sliding glass door barely moved properly and the screws that held the top lock on were literally falling out. We expected a lot more for a Barcelo resort and were treated sub par even though we are Occidental members. Definitely would not recommend for the price tag.”

“We stayed here in 2019 and are planning a return in 2021. We absolutely loved this resort. The only complaint we had was that they did not serve alcohol until noon and the swim up bar shut down at like 7pm. We hoped to enjoy a Bloody Mary or Mimosa with our breakfast but could not. I would like to know if that is normal for just this resort or for all resorts. Or was it just because of the time of year that we were there (September). Seems odd for an all-inclusive resort.”
