The Phoenician occupies 250 acres that are surrounded by the stunning Sonoran Desert The resort boasts 10 restaurants and lounges nine pools and three nine-hole golf courses (with 18-hole configurations). Choose from full gourmet dining experiences an award-winning afternoon tea and sweet delights dished out the hotel's gourmet ice cream parlor. After a rub scrub or restorative facial take a leisurely stroll through the two-acre cactus garden before booking a lesson at the renowned tennis center (with four surfaces) or golf academy. After you've had your fill retire to one of the 643 spacious rooms (600 square feet on average) and drink in the desert sunset from the balcony. There is an additional fee for both valet and self-parking. “Celebrated my birthday with my daughter and a couple friends with a high English tea. The petite sandwiches were tasty and the desserts were amazing! The staff was excellent looking after our needs. The only thing that would have improved the ambiance was that the piano music was way too loud. All in all we had a wonderful time and a great memories were made.”

“I couldn’t wait to be wowed by the luxury but I guess I will keep waiting. The grounds are stunning. The entrance is impressive. It goes downhill from there. The lobby has a smell being pumped into it that reminds me of the smell of bowling shoe spray. The rooms are nice but they are a nice Marriott room. I would not go so far as to call it luxury. Luxury doesn’t have chips in the furniture and paint. The lamps aren’t crooked. The bathroom doors close completely. Maybe the golf and tennis make up for it but the room and food DO NOT. $115 for stale chips, super vinegary wings, extremely watery blue cheese. Or how about $50 for a piece of toast. And it irritates me that my mini bar is stocked with Pepsi. Not a Coke anywhere! The staff are extremely nice and prompt so I do give them points for that. Courtney was the BEST server!”
