You must make reservations one day in advance for restaurants other than the buffet. Way too many people trying to sell you "adventure packages". Different country be aware laws and "norm" are different here. Do not go into town by yourself. Beaches are "owned" by resorts with 24hr security. Strolls down the beach are permitted but you will be "stopped" at each resort. Due to hurricane flooding in the past many first floor rooms smell like mold. Changed rooms with about an hour of headache when we got there. Room we were moved to was not cleaned. Took quite a bit of moving luggage and a lot of walking first 2 hours we were there. Cleaning staff is extremely friendly, an american dollar goes a long way. If you don't have american dollars or local currency you will have to exchange. Heard many visitors complain about currency. All and all for the cost good experience. $800 for a week with flight. Spent about $600 per person on gratuities, cabs (can not walk anywhere from here), "adventures" and local shops. Do research on exchange, dollar goes a long way.

We had a great time at this Hotel. The food was fine and the place is what make this Hotel great. I think the service can get better and the only thing i didn't like was that this Hotel doesn't has a disco. You have to travel to another public disco if you want to have this experience, is very peaceful at night. That would be great to you if this is what you are looking for.

One of the worst resorts I have ever stayed at, I wish there was an option to give zero stars. Upon check into our original room we found signs of bed begs and bloody sheets. We reported this THREE times to reception and they said someone is on their way to inspect the room. After waiting for 30 minutes in the room we decided to go back to reception. It took us TWO hours to explain to them that we can't live in a room infested by bed bugs so we need a new room. Our new room wasn't infested with pests but was very outdated and the cleanliness was very questionable. The resort itself is fairly nice and close to the beach but the service is brutal. Never did they apologize for their mistakes they made which inconvenienced our vacation. The rooms have regular keys instead of key cards so if the person who is holding onto the key is not with you, you are out of luck. It took me 30 minutes to get the reception to open my room at 2 am when I was locked out and my roommate who had the key was no where to be found. The food and the water is awful. Some may taste good, but out of the 3 people staying in our room, one was hospitalized for 2 nights due to a stomach infection and one became very ill on the last night with food poisoning and the flu, so that speaks for itself. Avoid this resort at all costs.

Have been here twice, loved it both times looking forward to returning again. Beautiful nature, birds , peacocks, so restful. Staff are diligent in every department. The food was outstanding, fresh fruit, especially the passion fruit, mmmmm. We also booked into the other restaurants on the grounds, simply delightful.

we only stayed one night at this hotel due to issues with our flight home. we had issues with our first room we got took to as it smelt funny and didn’t seem clean. However, Juan Luis on reception took us to a new room and it was beautiful. He made us feel so welcome and his customer service skills were amazing. He went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable. We really appreciated it!!! Gloria on reception was lovely too, so friendly and welcoming. Thank you so much for making our short stay great!

The rooms shown on the various travel websites are the recently renovated ones and likely aren't the one you're going to get unless you take a serious upgrade. Unfortunately most rooms are not...
