“So on the 19th of September, my brother was flying in so I booked him a place to stay. He decided to stay another night and his card was getting decline so he asked the rep Ana if they collected card number to pay. I spoke with Ana and she said yes but I thought that all I had to do was call the card number and she put it in just like you do when you call an airline. Nope they asked for a picture of my card and ID. I was kinda reluctant but I wanted a place for my brother so I emailed it. Well the next day my bank was fraudulently charged $500 which went through as Chime. Mind you I don’t have Chime. I actually didn’t know that it was charge that amount until the same person tried to charge $1000 and my account balance was already low and that was when my bank alerted me. So I called the hotel and all I got was excuses from Ana and someone else. Ana said that she “didn’t” think she did it and she “didn’t” think her staff did it. Who says that? I told them to investigate it and check their camera to see if someone copied the card info nope. This card was actually a new account and I was using it at a public place for the first time so explain that to me. Then I spoke with another rep who said the card information goes through some means and they only have access to what is needed for the reservation. That was a lie because my brother said that Ana printed the form right away and just left it on her desk. Well my bank refunded the money. Book at this hotel at your own risk. Very unprofessional. Change you policy and only take cards on phone so that no one gets the time to write it down or take a picture of the form.”

“I have stayed at this hotel sometimes when I visit my parents and it looks like it has been under different management and changed names over the years. This most recent stay was probably the worst. I called in advance to make sure my reservation didn’t get cancelled when I wasn’t able to check in until the middle of the night when I arrived. There is NO way to get a direct number to this hotel. Even at 4p in the afternoon I got routed to an answering service who said she would make a note of my late arrival but she didn’t so my reservation got cancelled and I had to reinstate it when I got there in the middle of the night (luckily there were available rooms still). As far as the room itself: Thermostat wasn’t working, toilet clogged, there were wires where a smoke detector should be, no hair dryer in the room and when we went to the front desk to ask for one it was met with annoyance and we were treated like burdens. I usually don’t like to pick on things that cannot be simply changed but it’s important to know when you’re choosing a place to sleep — the walls are thin and you can hear everything in the hallway along with anything happening above and adjacent to you. I left the room and was walking down the hall towards the lobby several doors down from my room and I still heard my husband sneeze from inside the room. People knocking on the doors of neighboring rooms sounded like they were knocking on our door and their voices heard as if they were in our room. It is clear these rooms have not been renovated, let alone maintained in decades. I try and understand the pandemic probably did not help with accommodating the cost of repairs/maintenance which is why I still booked despite the poor reviews but this stay just felt so disgusting and if I’m going to pay over $100 a night I would rather spend it somewhere that at least looks like more care was put into the building and where the staff is more accommodating.”
