O Hotel Sofitel Carrasco é magnífico e imponente! um local de conforto e elegância. totalmente debruçado sobre o mar, este belíssimo hotel, comemorará 100 anos em 2021. Será um centenário repleto de muitas alegrias e realizações, pois é uma dádiva. A arquitetura do lugar merece um capítulo à parte, pois é estonteante! Fiquei fascinado pelo Restaurante de nome 1921. Vale muitíssimo à pena conferir...

Unclásico de Carrasco que estuvo dormido muchos años ha vuelto a la vida. En los años ochenta fue el salón de las mejores fiestas y eventos, con dos salones gigantes, impactantes por su diseño y cierto aire gótico. Luego quedo en el olvido y paso más de una década en total abandono. Por suerte, como un ave Fénix ha resurgido de sus cenizas y hoy entre luces y fantasía, vuelve a iluminar la rambla de Carrasco 🐱

Fui a almorzar, además de las delicias que nos sirvieron en especial menciono a las personas que nos atendieron, simpáticos y muy profesionales. Es una experiencia que se debe repetir.

El lugar es muy lindo, ya había estado cenando y tomando café, pero está vez me quise hospedar para conocer las habitaciones por dentro. Las habitaciones están bien para parejas, me molestó un poco el tema del baño tan separado y que no tenga ni bidet ni un lava manos dónde está el inodoro, raro. El desayuno exelente, la patisserie a la altura el café normal. La atención muy buena.

A pesar de ser una marca Sofitel y de cadena internacional, no tuvieron lista una habitación con paquete romántico e hicieron que una velada romántica casi se convierte en una velada de espanto. No hubo empatía suficiente luego de dos horas de espera sin explicaciones espontáneas.

Lugar lindo, vale a pena visitar, mas se está pensando em jogar, saiba que para ingressar na mesa de roleta vais ter que desembolsar 1000 dólares! 😱

Linda arquitetura! Mesmo quem não está hospedado pode entrar para conhecer o lobby do hotel. Vale muito a pena pela arquitetura! Os funcionários foram bem atenciosos.

Estuve en julio. El hotel hermoso. Las habitaciones hermosas. Todo 5 estrellas, excepto que, en el desayuno, que estaba incluido y por lo cual abonamos, si querés un buen café te lo cobran aparte -u$s 5- . Es una vergüenza!!!! En que hotel 5 estrellas sucede algo así? Le baja sin dudas la categoria

Por se tratar de um hotel de luxo, ficou devendo. O café da manhã não está à altura de um hotel desse porte, pouca variedade de frutas e pães. Muitos produtos industrializados e poucas presença de produtos locais. Um café fino e de péssima qualidade e ainda cobram a parte por um capuchino, pelo preço da diária achei uma falta de respeito. O hotel é lindo, os funcionários super atenciosos mas é só. Quartos amplos mas carecem de uma modernização, cama grande mas com um colchão muito mole, pra quem gosta ótimo. Banheiro com um excelente chuveiro. Em geral é um bom hotel, mas pelo preço cobrado da diária não vale a pena. Deve ser por issoque muita gente só vai para tirar fotos, rssss.

Hermoso Hotel, excelente atención, en pleno Centro de Carrasco y sobre la Rambla de Carrasco. Hermosas Suites. Cuenta con Restaurante, tanto en el Hotel como en el Casino, y un hermoso Spa con piscina interior comunicada hacia el exterior. Sala para eventos. Todo para vivir una experiencia inolvidable. El edificio es Patrimonio Nacional de Uruguay.

El lugar es hermoso, todo estilo francés. La atención es más que excelente, muy atentos, respetuosos y amigables. El desayuno estaba muy rico, mucha variedad. Cumplió mis expectativas. La piscina climatizada está hasta las 20hs, me gustaría que pudiera ser hasta un poco más tarde pero eso es lo único. Si tienen la oportunidad vayan.

Se gosta de cassinos, essa não é uma boa opção. 95% do espaço é tomado pelas máquinas. Encontrei apenas 1 mesa de poker, jogado com regras específicas e não competitivas.

Look, I usually stay at the Hyatt Centric, but I decided to give the Sofitel a chance the last time I was in MVD. I got an awesome sweet and the location was fantastic. Right near my office there. My room was huge, great view, large living room, an amazing bathroom and a great bed. I have a few gripes though. The casino is terrible. I have been to a lot of them throughout the world, from native American casinos, to the best of Vegas, but this takes the cake as the most brutal. The dealers and tables are so meh and the service in the casino is brutal. The pool area needs to be refinished. It's dated and needs some TLC. It's expensive for MVD. I wish Google would allow us to give 1/2 stars because I would really rate it a 3.5-star property based on the price and amenities versus the Hyatt. The casino drives down the rating quite a bit. I personally would choose to try some of the new properties the next time I'm in MVD.

Awful and rude treatment by reception staff when there was a payment issue. During my argument with the reception staff, I was told “sure you can complain to whoever” and “who cares!”. great location / good rooms / but left with a very bad taste!

O hotel FECHA A PISCINA E O SPA AS 2a f e 3a f E NAO COMUNICA OS HÓSPEDES! Um hotel 5 estrelas nunca faria isso !!!!!! Viajei pelo Uruguai por 7 dias e reservei os 2 últimos para o Sofitel Carrasco, pois queria descançar, tomar sol e um SPA. Fiquei profundamente decepcionada. O restaurante 1921 tem um menu bastante limitado. O hotel é lindo, num lugar muito agradável.

Beautiful location and building and majority of the staff are great. Some rotten eggs that have a you-should-be-happy-I’m-letting-you-be-here-attitude instead of the happy you are here. However, there are some major problems. 1. During our four nights stay - we had 13 or 14 keys as they continuously stopped working. Staff was always apologetic and instantly made new keys but still - not a 5* experience and extremely frustrating getting stuck in elevators as you can’t enter your floor without the key and when you realize it’s not working - doors are closing and off you go. 2. There are two pools - one indoor and one outdoor. To access them you need to go via the spa. The spa is closed Monday-Tuesday and it opens at 12 on the other days. The hotel has taken no steps towards making up for this (setting up chairs on the beach or even by offering beach towels) So you bring towels from your room that are white and immediately needs replacement. On our last day the sun was finally shining and I asked at 10.00 if I could go sunbathing at one or the prepares chairs at the outside pool. Got rejected as there was no staff available until 12.00. Instead, I walked across the road and lay down on a public park bench in my swim trunks until it opened. This was most definitely not a 5* experience and why my conclusion end up being: not worth the money.

1921 Restaurant. A very pleasant lunch in a mostly magnificent space. I had had dinner,pre covid,at 1921 and I thought the food at the time was good,the place was quite beautiful but not very intimate space for a dinner for two. The room is huge and the designers have done too little to make the main part of the room feel warm. Now to lunch these days: a really nice choice of entrees on the Executive (every day) not cheap but good value for the space,the service and the food quality. Sitting at the banquettes overlooking the water is a perfect daytime set up. The service was very good and the food was very much up to the mark in quality,preparation and quantity. After a 2 months stay at the Holiday Inn in the Old Town, we decided to add 1 month at Sofitel, Carrasco. Reservation request and check-in were smooth and we got exactly the room we requested; quiet and with a relaxing view towards the lovely town. The hotel is beautifully restored, offers a complete breakfast buffet, a competitive lunch option, indoor and outdoor pool, sauna, and gym. The house keeping staff is very helpful in providing all we need for a good stay. There are a decent number of shops and some outstanding restaurants in this upscale neighborhood - a striking difference compared to the rather dirty Old Town with it large number of unfortunate homeless people.

It's a beautiful hotel and has lots of potential. Just needs some updates like replacing broken chairs next to pool and showers leak out of glass door. Beds are very comfortable. Staff in general is very good. Food is quite good and we had some nice vegan options.
