The rooms were beautiful and most came with a decent view, the linens and soaps were soft and wonderful. I was slightly disappointed with the pool as the jets were not working in the hot tub and the lady who is working at the pool was not the kindest when telling us to wear shower caps to be in the pool. the caps also fall off and are completely pointless to wear and don't provide any additional hygiene to the pool.I made reservations for dinner, the gentleman who took the reservation made sure to decorate the table for my birthday which I thought was special and kind. The man who served the table was kind, efficient and allowed us to split the bills so we could all pay our own. The food was reasonably priced, good portions and a lovely space. It was my second time eating there and I was not disappointed.Upon checking out, the lady who helped me (Dora I believe her name was) noticed that it was my birthday and wished me a special day and gave me a beautiful gift of green tea.We were all treated very well and the Shangri-La did not disappoint! Hada wonderful stay and would book your hotel again in the future :) Os quartos eram lindos e a maioria vinha com uma vista decente, os lençóis e sabonetes eram macios e maravilhosos. O homem que serviu a mesa foi gentil, eficiente e nos permitiu dividir as contas para que todos pudéssemos pagar as nossas. A comida era com preços razoáveis, porções boas e um espaço encantador. Foi a minha segunda vez comendo lá e não fiquei desapontado.Ao fazer o check-out, a senhora que me atendeu (acho que era Dora) percebeu que era meu aniversário e me desejou um dia especial e me deu um lindo chá verde de presente.Fomos todos muito bem tratados e o Shangri-La não decepcionou! Had a good experience during check in the staff was courteous which make me feel comfortable. Requested for a king size bed, but given single bed link together, wanted a smoking but was not ready needed to wait for one and a half hour so decided to have none smoking room since I was tired after travelling, while front desk told me they will change my room when the room is available. But nothing happened throughout my stay even though they saw me coming just to smoke frequently. First night room service was poor, food was serve warm and the plate was cold. Food standards was up and down. Only thing that was great was the housekeeping. Tivemos uma boa experiência durante o check-in, a equipe foi cortês, o que me fez sentir confortável. Solicitado por uma cama king size, mas dado um link de cama de solteiro juntos, queria fumar, mas não estava pronto precisava esperar uma hora e meia, então decidi não ter nenhum quarto para fumantes, pois estava cansado depois de viajar, enquanto a recepção me disse que eles mudará meu quarto quando o quarto estiver disponível. Mas nada aconteceu durante a minha estadia, embora eles me vissem vindo apenas para fumar com frequência. Minha estadia desta vez, no geral, é muito boa, mas há algumas pequenas coisas que quero dizer: 1. A porta da casa não é fácil de fechar, e você tem que empurrá-la com força para ter certeza de que está boa. Eu a encontrei uma vez quando voltei para o meu quarto depois do café da manhã, e a porta se abriu com um empurrão do meu mão. 2. Ao dormir à noite, o som do ar condicionado tem um leve som fricativo metálico, o que faz com que as pessoas durmam muito inquietas. 3. Devido ao grande número de pessoas que ficam juntas desta vez, temos que reservar um quarto privativo com o restaurante para o dia seguinte depois de terminarmos o café da manhã todos os dias, mas mesmo que o façamos, o quarto privativo é ocupado por dois ou três dias. Não parece ser de qualquer utilidade. Embora tenha sido resolvido sem problemas depois, parecia que eu tinha que tentar a sorte todos os dias com o café da manhã.

The breakfast there was also one of the best among the 5 starts hotels we have stayed, offering a variety of choices including traditional local delights! 10/10 experience! Experiência fantástica! I noticed that you used the word of "A spacious bathroom" in the room description. Please do step into the guest room and take a look at the bathroom. I can't believe that the smallest bathroom I used was actually in Shangri-La.
At least you can remove these words about bathroom in room description so guests can choose another room.
Other than that, I was satisfied with the room. The new decoration is pretty good for such old building.

I have stayed in a number of Shangri-La properties and similarly branded hotels before, but I have never experienced service that so exceeded my expectations as what we received in our recent stay at the Shangri-La Qingdao.
The purpose of our visit was to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday, and to get out of Beijing for the first time since the implementation of travel restrictions because of Covid-19. Just about everyone we met at the hotel treated us as if we were the only guests there, including the housekeeping staff that made up our room even on the day we were to check out (we had a late check out thanks to my Jade membership). I've literally never seen that before in a hotel.
But I would like to reserve special recognition for Wallance, the assistant F&B manager who went significantly out of his way - including gaining the participation of several other staff - to make sure my girlfriend had a birthday weekend she wouldn't forget. From packing a to-go breakfast for her when she slept in our first morning, to delivering a cake to our room with 4 other staff while singing happy birthday, he consistently found creative ways to delight us. I work in the service industry myself and so while I try not to be too demanding when traveling for myself, I nevertheless can recognize the effort it takes to create a truly spectacular guest experience. I am so, so impressed with Wallance, Vincent and the whole F&B team.
I'd also like to give a special shout-out to Kenta, the Valley Wing manager who also made us feel as if we were the most important people in in the hotel. From check-in to check-out, this was truly a special experience. Well done!
I have already recommended this hotel to several of my colleagues, some of whom have already said they plan to follow my advice. For their sake, I certainly hope that they do.

We visited Shangri-la, Qing Dao recently and it was a pleasant stay. The room was huge with very big space and comfortable bed. The bathroom was very large with separate shower room and bathtub. My daughter at age of 2 trying hard to jump into the bathtub when she saw it 😁Furthermore, their breakfast at cafe Yum has good spread of food and all of our family enjoyed ourselves. I especially enjoyed the tea time service in their lounge. The food was delicately some and yummy😋.All the staffs were very welcoming and displayed good customer service. The front desk staff and their manager-Mr Ryan and Mr Kento were very friendly and shown their hospitality well.Another added bonus point was the Chinese restaurant- Shang palace, it was nicely and elegantly decorated with good quality of Chinese cuisine.Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and wish to return to the hotel one day whenever we have the chance.

Solicité una cama tamaño king, pero dado que la cama individual estaba unida, quería una habitación para fumadores pero no estaba lista, necesitaba esperar una hora y media, así que decidí tener una habitación para no fumadores ya que estaba cansado después de viajar, mientras que la recepción me dijo que ellos cambiaré mi habitación cuando la habitación esté disponible. Pero no pasó nada durante mi estadía a pesar de que me vieron venir solo para fumar con frecuencia. El servicio de habitaciones de la primera noche fue deficiente, la comida se sirvió caliente y el plato estaba frío. Los estándares de comida subían y bajaban. Me decepcionó un poco la piscina ya que los chorros no funcionaban en la bañera de hidromasaje y la señora que trabaja en la piscina no fue la más amable cuando nos dijo que usáramos gorros de ducha para estar en la piscina. las tapas también se caen y son completamente inútiles de usar y no brindan ninguna higiene adicional a la piscina.Hice reservas para la cena, el caballero que tomó la reserva se aseguró de decorar la mesa para mi cumpleaños, que pensé que era especial y amable. El hombre que sirvió la mesa fue amable, eficiente y nos permitió dividir las cuentas para que todos pudiéramos pagar las nuestras. La comida tenía un precio razonable, buenas raciones y un espacio encantador. Era la segunda vez que comía allí y no me decepcionó.Al salir, la señora que me ayudó (Dora creo que se llamaba) notó que era mi cumpleaños y me deseó un día especial y me dio un hermoso regalo de té verde.A todos nos trataron muy bien y el Shangri-La no decepcionó.
