The brand new hotel is located a few blocks from the River Elbe, in the very heart of the beautiful city of Dresden. Guests are just minutes away from numerous attractions, such as the renowned and recently renovated Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady), Semperoper (Semper Opera House), and Zwinger (Dungeon). The NH Collection Dresden Altmarkt hotel, formerly known as NH Dresden Altmarkt, is right at the heart of Dresden on the market square. Tourists and business travelers will find everything they need in walking distance of our newly-built hotel. We have 240 rooms running from Superior and Premium rooms to Suites, with many overlooking the Altmarkt – one reviewer considered it the ‘best Christmas market view in town’.

“Update: the checkout process was much warmer with smiley nice staff. Added another star because they deserve it.We came at night, we received a room on the 5th floor in front of a beautiful church! So... Tip 1: ask for a room in front of the church (We really recommend to visit the church's tower!The view is amazing.... Far more than the design of the room itself. The design is old and sleepy... No extras... Simple.Tip 2: ask for a king size bed, somehow we got two beds connected.... Which was not that comfortable.If you come to sleep - well, the heavy sound of the church bells will not let you do that. They ring all morning, from 8:30... I think.. and continues on and of until 9:30, especially on Sunday.On Sunday there were sooo many noises from upstairs floor.... So again, if you came here to sleep... It's not what you're looking for.The receptionist was so cold to us.... It was super disappointing...on the hotel website, they mention that you can checkout until 5pm(!) - we were really happy with that since we were supposed to love on 4pm on the last day. But! We we asked the receptionist, he told us it's only when it's possible and... It wasn't possible.So tip 3: if late checkout is important to you, call them when you about to book a room to make sure it's possible.Overall, the hotel located in a wonderful area, in front of a beautiful church, not the nicest room, not the nicest receptionist - but it was great.”
