We had a perfect stay in Santa Monica! The hotel was perfect and the location is amazing. Views are incredible and it is steps to the Pier and beach. I am so glad we chose to be right on the beach. I believe it made our vacation with our 9 year old twins. We rented bikes and rode to Venice Beach, and went to the swings on the beach and down to the water several times a day. Everything about the hotel exceeded our expectations. It is beautiful, the valet staff was wonderful, the gym is so nice it makes you want to work out. Cannot recommend it more!!

I had stayed at this hotel several years ago, and when I went to plan my special get away I decided to check the reviews before booking.I was soo surprised to read some of the less than stellar reviews.I'm glad I went with my own instinct and kept my reservation because this is truly a gem in Santa Monica. My experience with the hotel was amazing...from check in to check out. Our room was a beautiful ocean front room, we received a glass of champagne on arrival, the front desk staff was always ready and willing to assist, room service was great, and the list goes on.I appreciate the service and attention we received and I would return to this beautiful hotel over and over again ❤! DON'T LET THE NEGATIVITY DETER YOU.If you're concerned,call ahead.The hotel staff cares, is accommodating and take your feedback to heart. Thank you Loews Santa Monica.I will be back.

Hotel is quite beautiful with great rooms.They gave us a free upgrade to an Ocean view room which was generous.Amenities are excellent and the staff was always friendly.Pool and hottub area were enjoyable.And the beach is literally about a one minute walk from hotel.Quite excellent all around.

Unbelievable experience. On day 3 of our stay, we were followed by the security from the moment we entered the front door to the pool. The very moment we sat down by the pool, the security approached us and asked us “are you guys staying here ?” When we asked, if he needed to see the room key, he left. He did not ask any other four white individuals who came after us to use the pool. Why only us? People of colors can not be presented in this hotel and use the pool without being questioned as we were just sneaking in? Why would he assume that there is any possibility of us to not be this hotels guest just like all others who came to the pool after us? When we inquired about this to the front desk, if this was normal protocol, the staff told me that is not what they do, they don't ask the guest who uses the pool because the pool is accessed with room keys. The staff told us that she will speak to manager to find out why this happened and followed up with us, which they did not. Exceptional customer service. Its 2022, there is no place in the world for this type of ignorance. We will never return to this hotel.

Excellent customer service at this hotel. The room is beautiful with a contemporary look that will make your hotel experience even better! The bed for me and my husband was uncomfortable! I hope they do something about this! The gym is gorgeous! They even have a stair climber!! The ocean view is breathtaking and the ambiance in the pool area is very nice too! Breakfast is delicious! Thank you Jaime!! Amazing treats! Unfortunately, I would not say that I was impressed by their food for lunch or dinner. They do not have an extended menu and they might have to work more with the chef!

This hotel EXCEEDED our expectations. The beautiful airy layout of the lobby. The front desk was wonderful and very affable and accommodating. Highly recommend the Guest Rooms overlooking the ocean. Also want to call out the Pool Side staff for going above and beyond to ensure that we never wanted for anything. And lastly, the Room Service staff is very professional and have a genuine warm spirit which was very comforting and reassuring. You all are greatly appreciated. WILL DEFINITELY RETURN TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!

Great hotel and friendly staff. All of the amenities were great. We got free champagne when we checked in. The hot tub was very relaxing with a great view. We were able to walk down to the beach with ease. The bartender was amazing and took care of my wife and I after we had a rough day. We will be back! We loved our stay.

A 5-Star Experience! This was our first time staying at a Loews property. The front desk staff were amazing and created a magical experience for our family's 5 night stay. Additionally, the restaurant staff were very attentive; remembered our children and their interests, chef made wonderful creations, and items are well priced. The property is located in an incredible location overlooking the Santa Monica Beach/pier. We will be back soon!

This property is beautiful and has an amazing view of the beach and Santa Monica pier. The location is perfect with only a short walk to the Pier and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We felt like VIPs and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

I always stay at Loews Santa Monica when I am in Los Angeles. The view is spectacular, the pool is great, food is always fresh and delicious and everyone that works there makes you feel like you are the only guest in the hotel. This is one of the few hotels that you don't have to wait an exorbitant amount of time for the valet to bring your car around. Oh, and they are dog friendly!!!

Great location and perfect family hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Pool area is great. Lots of kids so if that’s an issue look elsewhere.There was several weddings happening during our stay which feels like it’s common there. Our plan to have sunset pool drinks was thwarted by a wedding ceremony where the rabbi was mic’d and we essentially had to endure the whole ceremony, including a vocal performance by the brides brothers..

We love Loews. We’ve done Santa Monica twice & Coronado 3x. amazing views, clean modern rooms and kind bell servicemen. A drink upon check in (sometimes). Good location. Only downside is there was a two day old(it had the receipt in there as well) subway sandwich in the fridge upon our check in. We found a charger in the wall as well which just concludes the room wasn’t cleaned properly. I understand short staffing but when we kindly called the front desk, they’re answer was “we don’t stock the fridge due to Covid anyways so you won’t really use it” we booked the king ocean view which was expensive. That answer with no follow up, offers or remorse was very disheartening. We wondered why they didn’t care. They never even sent someone to clean our fridge. Shocking from Loews but I hope it was just a slip up in staff training. Looking to stay again soon and hope Loews is back to being great. :)

A nice hotel is in a great location but did not feel like I was in a 5 star hotel. The amenities were basic, the restaurant staff wasn’t very friendly and they were strict on the 4pm check in time (arrived around 3 and wouldn’t check us in).I had a ocean view room which the only thing I saw was a large tree (don’t recommend this room). A downside to rooms facing the beach is they are located next to area where homeless and drunks hang out. There was someone yelling and cursing outside for most of the night disrupting our sleep.

Loews is a really great hotel, an enjoyable stay. Super friendly staff, beautiful lobby and access to beach, nice pool, nice rooms, marble bathrooms with double sinks, lots of storage for clothing. On a personal note I like the ultra modern desings of the room, and the wooden blinds that allows you to control the light and avoid the annoying typical curtains, it also doesn't matter whichever way your room view is, because it's such a great location. The breakfast is super great which makes the stay very satisfying. It opens early at 7 and you can eat at their restaurant until 10 PM. Also, the location is super fantastic and minutes from everything. As a bonus, the Starbucks down the road, opens at 4 AM, so if you are jetlagged, you can always walk there for an early coffee like I did, and not have to wait until breakfast for your first sip. I paid extra for Valet parking and it is worth it, since with a quick phone call your car is upfront, and you're on the go. Lastly, I think that with LA being so massive, it's an excellent location going anywhere, and close access to freeway, I will definitely stay there again.

This place is amazing. Yes, pricey, but the location, the staff, the services and the food are amazing. I've already visited two times and it's always been so great. The walking distance to the beach and the pier is amazing, the views are the best and the location unbeatable. I'll come back again!

Summary: Nice property and amenities; service needs drastic improvement; be prepared to add an extra $100/night for resort ($39) and parking fees ($60).We were very excited to stay at this beachfront luxury hotel. The hotel is very beautiful and the lobby, restaurant, and pool all have great views of the Santa Monica beach and boardwalk.Our first experience with the front desk was great. I had accidentally booked a room with a single king bed instead of double queen beds and they accommodated us and switched for us free of charge.The hotel charges a steep $60 per night for valet parking. Note that if you bring a car, there is no nearby public parking since the lots close at night, and you have to opt for the valet. The valet is slow, and on several occasions took around 15 minutes to bring the car out.The restaurant service needs significant improvement. We had breakfast at the restaurant twice and both experiences were awful. The first time, I had requested an ingredient to be removed from the avocado toast for allergy purposes and they did not follow the request. The second time, our server only took our order and did not serve us for the rest of the meal. A kitchen staff brought us our meal and we asked for refills on our waters, and he told us he will get the server. They never came. We were finished and were waiting for our bill for 20 minutes and it never showed up. Our server wasn’t even in sight. Since we gave them our room number and last name before being seated, we decided to leave since we had a flight to catch. When we received the bill for that day, there was an automatic 20% gratuity charge! The front desk ended up striking that charge for us, but it was still unpleasant.This hotel fails to live up to the standard of a luxury 5-star hotel. While it is a nice location and has nice amenities (the gym was great, and had a locker room with a sauna), the service needs improvement before it can compete with other luxury hotels in the area. Part of the 5-star experience is the service and it is lacking here.

This hotel is an absolute wreck in terms of management. I signed up for a hotel room with an ocean view and paid extra for that. When I got there, my room had absolutely no view of the ocean. It looked out partially at the pool. I went back down to the front desk and explained this but they told me that I was wrong and that this was an ocean view! It was like I was in the twilight zone! Then, I finally convinced them to give me a room with an ocean view. They were going to charge me even more but I asked to speak with the manager. The manager was reluctant to come out but I insisted. I explained that in the room to which I was assigned clearly had no ocean view at all unless you consider the swimming pool part of the ocean. Finally, they agreed to let me stay in a room with an ocean view at the rate that I was quoted on the Internet. However, upon leaving, I was charged the actual higher rate for the room to which they said they were giving me a complementary rate. Now I can’t get a hold of anyone to discuss this. Beyond the management issues, the reality is that this Hotel does not deserve a five star ranking. It is very pretty. However, they have done very little to the rooms to create a five-star experience. There is great opportunity there, but they have not done it. Compared to the other five-star hotels in Los Angeles, this is an absolute joke of a place. And they keep saying I booked a partial ocean view which is a joke two/fold. First I booked a full ocean view and they admitted that to me. Second, there wasn’t even a partial view of the ocean. The only water I could see is the swimming pool!

O hotel é muito bonito mas infelizmente a qualidade dele está muito abaixo o restaurante tem péssimo atendimento dos garçons, pelo menos o que me atendeu, poucas opções de refeições e refeições sem variedade tudo muito simples, varanda minúscula sendo que nas fotos não se mostra isso, chuveiro para banho fraco 😒 este hotel não vale o preço que se paga, então se você está procurando um hotel 5 estrelas não vá a este pois está bem distante de ter uma excelência no seu atendimento.

Lo malo que algunas personas se creen duelos y como uno fue a recojer un trabajo para una fiesta ahí nos decían que no pasemos por el lobby pero no hay acceso para llevar las cosas al camion.

La habitación es grande y el baño genial. El hotel es muy bonito, limpio y de calidad. Lo que no me gustó fue que molestaban todos los días por la mañana llamando a la puerta diciendo: "minibar!". No nos dejaban dormir y asearnos a gusto sin tener que levantarnos a decirles q pasaran más tarde. Igual con el servicio de limpieza. Otra cosa que no nos gustó fue que en mitad de la noche un día empezó a sonar la alarma de incendio por error y no sabían pararla y el sonido era muy fuerte y molesto y estuvo como 20 minutos sonando sin parar que me estaba dejando sorda. El buffet de desayuno si quieres pagarlo me parece excesivo el precio, así que no desayunamos allí.
