Great service - I last stayed at this hotel more than 15 years ago. Reasonably priced compared to some of the crazy expensive hotels in Kyoto! Italian restaurant is OK skip it if you can! Service in hotel is to notch!

Loving everything about this hotel. 📍Location: centrally located, next to Kyoto National Museum and a beautiful temple; walking distant to the historical areas and many attractions. I personally walked to visit many places and there is a bus right outside the hotel as well. 👩🏻‍💻 Service: is simply amazing. Most detailed email reply plus follow-ups on my questions about restaurant reservations. Restaurant staffs are super attentive, they remember our preference after just one visit. 🍱 Food: I had the best Japanese breakfast, chose Japanese breakfast everyday for 4 days. Nuff said!! 🏯 Design: designed by Japanese studio Super Potato, the property’s sleek, understated interiors are a modern update on traditional Japanese aesthetics. It’s timeless even after all these years. Here are some photos but they don’t justify the actual beauty of the hotel.

Currenrly staying at the Kyoto Hyatt Regency and while the hotel had many great features, I was extremely disappointed with their gym being under renovation. As a frequent traveler and someone who relies on hotel gyms to maintain my physical therapy recovery from an injury, it was a major inconvenience for me. I was informed of the renovation upon check-in, but unfortunately, there were no other alternative nearby gyms. Additionally, I had forgotten my Anytime Fitness FOB, so I was unable to go to any other gyms in the vicinity. This made it difficult for me to maintain my exercise routine and my physical therapy progress. The hotel front desk staff were amazing and tried their best to accommodate my needs, but the lack of an alternative gym solution was a major disappointment. I understand that renovations are necessary but it would have been greatly appreciated if the hotel had made arrangements for their guests to have access to a nearby gym during the renovation period. Despite this, the hotel itself was beautiful and had a great location. The room was spacious, comfortable and well-appointed, and the view of the city was stunning. The staff were friendly, professional and always willing to help. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious food options, and the restaurant staff were attentive and accommodating my meal with care. The hotel also had a great lounge area where I could relax and unwind after a long day of exploring the city. The hotel's location was also a major plus. It was close to many popular attractions and tourist destinations in Kyoto, making it easy for me to explore the city. I have yet to complete my stay at the Kyoto Hyatt Regency, but the lack of an alternative gym solution during the renovation period was a major disappointment. As someone who relies on hotel gyms to maintain my physical therapy recovery, it made it difficult for me to continue my exercise routine. However, I would recommend this hotel to others due to the beautiful rooms, great location, and friendly staff. I look forward to returning to the hotel once the gym is completed and hope that they will have made arrangements for their guests to have access to a nearby gym during any future renovations. Hope this serve as a reminder to those who requires gym in Jan 2023. I know I'm being difficult but just airing my disappointment. Recommended for all travellers still. I will definitely be coming back in 2023 soon.

Out of every hotel I stayed at in Japan, this one is my favorite! The facilities and staff are top notch. Joshua in the dining room made each breakfast the most pleasant experience! I can't wait to visit again!

Very good stay at Hyatt Regency Kyoto. Location is nice, not too far from Gion but in a nice quiet and green garden. The room is really comfortable and luxury. Service is really good as well as the front desk than the concierge who help us all the time to book restaurant and sightseeings. The manager is very kind too. Nice hotel and nice people.
