“Beware staying here! I travel a great deal and have never experienced a worse situation. I reserved a room, using points, months in advance. Upon arrival/check-in we were told by the front desk that the hotel was sold out. The desk clerk said this happened before her shift & wasn’t her fault. We shared our confirmation number on the App and then they told us our reservation was found & a room was available for us. Keys were provided & we headed up the elevator with our luggage. Only problem was, the keys didn’t work. My husband went back downstairs, they made new keys, surprise - still didn’t work. We were beginning to think someone was in the room with the door locked from the inside. The front desk was flustered & we asked them to come to the 4th floor to check the key. They couldn’t open the door either so they knocked & walked back to the elevator. Long story short, security confirmed who was in the room.
So we had no where to go. Home2 Suites Corona did nothing to help us find another room. We ended up spending close to an hour in the lobby, calling other hotels. Found a vacancy 10 miles away & paid over $200.
Hilton’s follow up & customer service have been non-existent. I spent an hour on the phone the following day. They said the hotel manager would follow-up, my confirmation was put in someone else’s name, they promised to refund my points back to my account & assist with the other hotel bill all within 48 hours. 10 days later, after no word, I called Hilton to inquire about my points & the status. They opened a second case & was told I need to wait another 48 hours for resolution, again. Such disappointing service!”
