Good location and an outstanding breakfast with a massive range of olive oils. Guests have access to a very large and well equipped gym located just across the road. An iron wasn't available when requested in the afternoon meaning I had to go to the office the following day in an unironed shirt. The AC in the rooms is set to 20C, well below the 27 degrees reccomended by government. Despite turning it off, it always turns on when I'm out of the room at 20. This is not only awful for the climate but very wasteful given the ongoing energy crisis.

I absolutely loved the hotel, staff and location- it was all fantastic! So close to everything, especially the main shopping street in Madrid. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the staff were so helpful and friendly. As a gold member, I had a free room upgrade, bottle of wine and welcome gift- I felt so welcomed! I reccommend this hotel to everyone staying in Madrid ♡

Good value of money and great location. The Hotel is pretty and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The location is perfect!! Out from the crowds, but still possible to do everything by walk. The room is big, clean and comfortable. Great shower as well. The cleaning was not perfect, I found hair in the toilet upon arrival and the room at the first floor can be a little noisy, as was possible to hear the guests passing by the stairs.

Stayed in this hotel during June 2022 for business reason. Hotel is conveniently located near Grand Via street (main shopping road) and between 2 metro stations. You can easily walk to main shop streets and great monuments. The room is quite spacious offering also a fridge and AC and TV. Do not expect a view as the hotel is practiically located among other buildings. The atmosphere is very nice, the staff very very friendly, wonderful breakfast with local food. The cafeteria restaurant seems ideal also for business meetings or a nice coffee with friends. It is highly recommended for a choice near Madrid city center!!!

The most friendly and hospitable staff of a hotel I’ve ever been to. It was a pleasure to stay here. Personalised service. Highly recommended as the location is good too. Away from the crowds but central enough to easily get around Madrid.

Hotel com ótima localização, região central de Madrid, próximo à Plaza España e Gran Via. A partir dele é possível visitar, caminhando, a maioria dos pontos turísticos da capital espanhola. Quartos confortáveis e cama excelente! Café da manhã poderia ser melhorado — poucas opções e atendimento ruim, talvez pela falta de funcionários. Esse é único ponto negativo, na minha opinião.

Absolutely delightful experience at Mercure. We arrived at midnight; 2 hours after our scheduled arrival and there was someone on ground to greet us. The room was impeccable, everything was nice and tidy. There were few tv station options but we could play our own music on the inbuilt speakers. Very friendly staff, well located and the gym was Icing on top of the cake.

La habitación es cómoda, la limpieza es correcta, la atención del personal es buena. El gimnasio está ubicado fuera del hotel, pero la verdad es que está tan cerquita que es casi cómo dentro. Pero lo mejor de todo es la ubicación. Está en una zona tranquila pero cerca de todo. La razón de no dar las 5 estrellas es que al hacer la limpieza de la habitación, no se repuso algunos ítems de higiene personal.

Very clean (important especially during Covid) My only doubt was: when I ordered Uber Eats, it looked like they were not happy with it 🤷‍♀️ I do not see a reason to phone to my room if there is s clear instruction in Uber Ets to leave it on my door. My friend and I stayed at this beautiful hotel from November 1st until November 3rd. Last year I got for free 2 complimentary stays with breakfast included through the company I work for. The room was clean and spacious, breakfast had so many and yummy options, but who made the difference was Luis, he was very nice and kind to us and he also suggested few places where to eat. I also want to say that, by looking at his way to work, he is very professional and he works with diligence and always with the smile on his face. Thank you so much Luis, we will come back for sure :) We also want to say thank you to Angel, very nice man :)

Rooms are clean, contemporary, and spacious. Breakfast had a wide variety of delicious options. Location was convenient to visit the palace and get on hop on hop off tour bus. Staff are friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed my stay here! Would highly recommend.

Newly Renovated hotel With Impecableand connectivity.The hotel offers Great and attentive service from all its staff. Angel was particularly attentive and helpful , he made sure we had a good stay and that allour needs were met quickly. He has been on the property for many years and he is one of the main reasons why we keep comingback to Mercure Plaza de España.Thank you so much Angel for all your courtesy and help during our stays.The newly renovated suite is well appointed and nicely furnished, with a wide range of amenities and a large bathroom with separate bathtub and shower. It also has a big terrace.However, there's an issue with the air conditioning that needs to be addressed please.House keeping are prompt and spotless, never had a single issue with housekeeping.Breakfast was very good, offering Spanish classic breakfast options and healthy food. The hotel offers passes to the health club right across the narrow street facing the hotel's entrance. The health club is big and offers all tbr equipment one might need for any workout.We are looking forward to our next stay.

Great hotel. Our stay was really enjoyable and peaceful. The staff are lovely. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel is very stylish and well decorated. Beds are comfy. Location is great. Within a few min walking from Grand Via. Walking distance manageable to most central places.

A very nice business trip stay. They had a smart new check-in procedure which worked well. The breakfast was very nice with lots of choice. Despite having lots of plastic packaging, I like the fact they had a little packed of anything you might need in the bathroom - I needed the toothpaste! There was a taxi outside whenever we needed one. 20mins from the train station, 40 mins from the airport. Overall, very pleasant stay.
