Housecleaning won't show up despite multiple calls. Wifi has been down the whole time during my stay. Trying to get a hold of anyone at front desk in the phone is futile yet whenever I'm in the lobby there are 2-3 people at the front desk chatting with each other. Also the room service restaurant closes randomly in the middle of the day so make sure you don't get hungry when its inconvenient for the hotel to serve you.

My family and I are World of Hyatt "Globalist" rewards members and although we live nearby, due to us not wanting to travel far because of Covid, we have stayed at this property as a "staycation" getaway multiple times and we have had an enjoyable stay on each occasion. There is a nice on site gym and a large indoor swimming pool, which is great during the colder months. The employees have always been very friendly and accommodating to my family and myself. On our most recent New Years Eve weekend stay, the General Property Manager, Michael Harrington, personally went out of his way to make sure my family and I had a great stay and memorable time! If you are looking to stay overnight in the Downtown Rochester area, I do highly recommend this property.

The view is definitely worth the price if you're into that thing. I'm not really sold on the price point for anything else though. We got a king suite on the second highest floor thinking it was going to be super nice. The shower vent was super dirty, the shower floor had a huge crack in it, there were stains on the walls, and the room has literally no lighting. The bed is comfy and everything else is just kind of your standard hotel stuff. Parking is in a structure attached to the hotel and they will give you a pass that is $12 a day that allows unlimited use.

Came for a conference... This place is exhausted. It was dingy, dated, the room was cold and drafty with dim lighting/ no natural light. the carpets were dirty.. our internet didn't work for half of the conference.. there was no way to charge our laptops other than power strips against the wall. You could hear the kitchen through the doors... The toilet seat was barely attached to the toilet.. the escalators didn't function..Long story short.. I'd recommend against having any conferences here. It's surprising how long such a well known entity will go without investing in their space, especially in such a prominent location in downtown Rochester. The Hyatt should be embarrassed.

Renovated hotel. Location is the best thing. The ac is very very poor within the rooms. Though not charged ( so far but ) was asked $10 a day for a microwave in the room, additional to the room rate. I have heard all good things about the hotel from everyone, however I was not impressed with the price paid and value received. In terms of room, updated, no carpet ( good ). Bathroom was good. Beds and pillow we're not that comfortable however the biggest issue was air conditioning within the room. The thermostat did not do anything even if we reduced it to 66. The room.was hot always. Not sure will book again.
