A propriedade era descuidada e muito rústica. A comida era um tanto decente até que eu tive um hambúrguer cru e quando eu pedi para ser cozido mais eles negaram meu pedido. no geral, eu não gostei da experiência e nem minha esposa.

Não poderíamos ter ficado mais felizes com nosso tempo na Heliconias. Como uma família com 3 crianças pequenas, fomos recebidos calorosamente. A equipe nos fez sentir como uma família que não poderia fazer nada de errado; atrasado? Precisa de algo? Eles estavam calorosos e felizes em ajudar. O passeio que eles reservaram para nós em sua propriedade foi um dos nossos favoritos (e nos permitiu ver mais animais do que em qualquer outro lugar). A comida do restaurante era a melhor que comíamos na Costa Rica e sempre preparavam drinks deliciosos (ou nos davam uma jarra de Imperial para levar para a piscina). Ficamos 3 noites no Mango Treehouse e Butterfly Room e não podíamos imaginar espaços mais perfeitos.Ficamos lá as três primeiras noites e passamos o resto da viagem dizendo aos nossos filhos que não, não iríamos "para casa" em Heliconias. Mesmo se nós não quiséssemos voltar para Arenal em uma visita futura, nós absolutamente apenas passaríamos algumas noites no lodge. Realmente, não posso recomendar este lugar e mais pessoas!

Sem dúvida, este é um dos lugares mais bonitos que já fiquei. Este lugar é um estabelecimento administrado e administrado por uma família. Do momento em que chegamos até o momento em que saímos, fomos tratados como uma família. Os quartos eram incríveis, a comida deliciosa, os jardins eram absolutamente deslumbrantes. O amor e a atenção que você recebe ouvem que você não os experimentará em nenhum outro lugar. Com este lugar nos sentimos em casa. Esperançosamente nós voltaremos para a Costa Rica e se o fizermos iremos, sem dúvida, ficar aqui. !!!

The property was unkept and very rough. The food was somewhat decent until I had a raw burger and when i asked for it to be cooked further they denied my request. overall i did not enjoy the experience and neither did my wife.

We couldn't have been happier with our time at Heliconias. As a family with 3 young children, we were greeted so warmly. The staff made us feel like family that could do no wrong; running late? Needing something? They were warm and happy to help. The tour they booked for us on their property was one of our favorites (and allowed us to see more animals than anywhere else). The food at the restaurant was the best we had in Costa Rica and they always made delicious drinks (or gave us a pitcher of Imperial to take to the pool). We stayed 3 nights in the Mango Treehouse and Butterfly Room and could not imagine more perfect spaces. We stayed there our first three nights and spent the rest of the trip telling our kids that no, we weren't going "home" to Heliconias. Even if we didn't want to go back to Arenal on a future visit, we absolutely just to spend a few nights at the lodge. Really, can't recommend this place and people more!

Hands down, this is one of the nicest places I have stayed. This place is a family owned and operated establishment. From the moment we arrived to the time we left, we were treated like family. The rooms were amazing, the food was delicious, the grounds were absolutely breathtaking. The love and attention tion you receive hear you will not experience it anywhere else. With this place we just felt right at home. Hopefully we make it back to Costa Rica and if we do we will without a doubt stay here.!!!

Excellent value, extremely friendly service, charming bungalows.We took advantage of the night jungle tour on the hotel grounds and very much enjoyed it. The front desk recommended and helped book a zip-lining adventure as well as a hot springs visit. Both were excellent recommendations.My only regret was not spending more time at Heliconias Nature Lodge.

Beautiful... “Nature Lodge” is the perfect description. Property is amazing. Pools, hammock sanctuary, much more. We saw so many birds at breakfast we couldn’t believe it. Bungalows are private, with great views and comfortable beds.

This lodge was amazing! My family and I agreed, of our whole trip to Costa Rica, we wish we had spent more time here. The grounds are amazing, featuring some beautiful agriculture and wildlife. This is a family run lodge, and we certainly felt like we became part of it! The brothers were so kind and welcoming, as well as knowledgeable for things to do in the area. We went on the night tour of the property and wish we had more time to explore! The guests in the lodge were equally as friendly. We cannot recommend this place enough and look forward to returning!!

Definitely we got much more than what we were expecting. First, once in the hotel they gave as a tour around all areas of the hotel. We had a tour in a gulf car. This served as an appetizer of what was coming up. Secondly, once in our room we got very impressed. The bungalow are awesome. Tropical plants like Heliconias are a great pleasure to one's eyes. There are beautiful birds like toucans that are provided with fruits grown in the hotel which becomes a great bird watching show specially during breakfast time. On the other hand the food in the restaurant is not only delicious but a tasty experience in which you will enjoy fresh vegetables (grown by the family who own the hotel in the hotel area) included in the dish. Service? Just imagine. The hotel is owned by a family. They love it, they take care of it. They enjoy what they do. It is not necessary to say that the service is great. Finally, there are many things to do in the hotel. For instance, a night tour to see frogs and other animals, bird watching among other things. There is a nice place for practicing yoga or exercises. The pool is decided into two pools. They will warm the water of one pool in the afternoon and night. Whenever I go to a hotel at the end I consider that I got what I expected or a bit less. This time I got much more. I loved the experience.

Nice quiet place to stay. The tree houses are great. Easy driving distance to a number of attractions too. We really liked staying here and may stay there again when we go back to Costa Rica. The staff is nice and they know English very well. I recommend this place. It was also great for my 2 year old son too. It gave him a place to walk around and explore.
